SPOILER wynncraft is def not kid friendly

so i just finished the quest: "A Journey Further" and.. It just made me remember all the moments on wynn I just was like "Isn't this a kids game".


Case 1: There are probably more but for the quest A Grave Mistake would've probably been a childs grave mistake. You literally see people falling from the roof after getting hanged, a carpet of a guy crying blood. But mainly: A GUY HANGED. I know it's probably not a big problem but I did play Wynn when I was younger and if I got up to that point I wouldn't of been able to sleep for at least a few days. But I mean I guess it did tell us to stay away...?

Case 2: Now this quest series was a lot less gruesome and may be an unpopular opinion but the ending of the "Realm of Light" series was just so sad. Lari was yes a big annoying idiot but I did grow to love them. And then they are in this weird dark realm with these emo guys. And I'm replaying it as an assassin and just seeing Lari in her youth and being all happy is very sad yet happy to see. (I would HATE to have to fight her again if she gets like corrupted and stuff)

Case 3: A Journey Further.. we literally have to kill a guy who yes he admitted he WAS going to kill us was just such a nice guy who protected us and we've known him since the beginning. And me having to kill him just to open some dungeon was really sad for me.

In summary, I am very emotional.

P.S: has anyone else found the corruption and the decay thing really confusing. I get what they are by themselves but it gets confusing between the two and the entire Dern thing which is a completely different thing from this corruption thing. Which wynn is just I don't really understand it so if there is a good explanation of it please let me know.

Corruption is created when Realm of Light and Realm of Darkness try to conquer each other (consequences of War of The Realms)
Decay on the other hand is created when parasites (Dernmites created by The Parasite in Heart of the Decay) remove the light from gavel and spread darkness

 

This is definitely a thing that's ingame, but is it a problem? Not at all, in my opinion. The story could be more gruesome if it were up to me, but it's fine as it is.

Light and Dark (Dern) are two opposing forces. When the two meet in a violent clash, a third force, Corruption, is formed. Corruption is mindless and seeks to devour everything, although there are a couple intelligent corrupted creatures, such as Bak'al and Garoth.

The Decay of Gavel is Darkness. It is caused by the Dernmites spawned by the Dark Parasite, which was sent by Dern to weaken Orphion, the Light Beast.

yep this is my new fav description of wynncraft villains 10/10

 

Surprised you didn't mention poisoning the pest. That poor zombie lost a lot of blood, at level 2.

 

not going to mention that in a journey beyond you take the decapitated head and dismembered torso of your friends and feed them to a giant worm

wynncraft is fun for the whole family

the part that saddens me about this one is that orphion slightly implies that she is still alive after you defeat him
