I've done a bit of research into this and from what I've seen the general consensus is that the best solo classes are archer, assassin, or mage.
    • Archer due to their damage and ability to keep distance
    • Assassin due to their high level of resilience (100%) as well as the ability to go invisible giving them a lot of survivability while still having a high level of damage
    • Mage due to their self heal and otherwise general utility (meteor and ice snake for aoe, teleport to get around/into safe spots for grinding)
I want to ask the question here and now, can any of them go all the way, do every piece of content (as of this post being put up), better than the other two? Is one of the other classes not mentioned above better than these three?

Beyond that, if you think one class can beat out every other class...with what build? What brings that class solidly into the primary solo play slot?

I guess its all up personal preference and playstyle, but assassin/mage are the popular ones for solo players.

Edit: Shaman is good for clearing large area's of mobs from what I've heard

Assassin isn't bad because vanish is stupid op again bosses, dungeons, and li(especially with hm builds)
But mage is really fun cause you can heal yourself really quickly
    Up to you though

I guess I shouldn't be too surprised as to the answers this has gotten, though I am surprised no one has listed/linked a build they think is good. Except TheNelston, indirectly (on his youtube). I say that because I know someone will find this post in the future asking the same things I did, probably.
Any chance the orange lily build need an update? I've seen the video for solo archer build (as I've been playing an archer, since it's my usual class in any game) but the build when opened stat-wise is 40 points over the limit in the builder. If I update the items the stat problem disappears and instead a bunch of the stats drop (dex drops from 47->40, int from 105->80, and def from 108->95) and I'm not sure how much those stat drops would affect the end build.

It may just be from various updates between then and now (a year is a bit of time) but I figure better to ask than to blindly jump in and assume it'd work the same.

yes, i will release an updated video, it's been a while and ive been really busy unfortunately

the main thing to note is that older builds will all become irrelevant post-2.0 anyways, hence why i'd rather just not deal with remaking many older videos and just wait for new changes to come about

Alright, fair enough- I look forward to seeing stuff post 2.0 and hopefully when life isn't so hectic.

If you could cover a solo leveling guide at some point after 2.0 as well, it'd be appreciated- all the leveling guides I've seen are relevant mostly to groups, or to those who have previous characters (and thusly the capital for speed leveling gear). No pressure though, I can fumble my way through well enough without grinding most of the time so far. I've only had to do a little bit recently around level 50 because quests dried up.
