Does anybody else think that dungeon completion rewards are really underwhelming?

?

What do you think about dungeon completion rewards (not dungeon merchant items)?

  1. Yes, they are underwhelming and they should be increased.

Usually when I'm doing playthroughs with friends, I find it hard to get them to lootrun since it takes away from action and progression. We would have to split up and look for gear that we could use, and then try to meet up and exchange, kinda killing pacing.

Compared to lootrunning, the rewards after completing a dungeon are equivalent to a T1-T2 loot chest. It kinda feels like that dungeons have the raid problem, where there isn't really a good reason to keep doing them outside of just leveling or token items.

I'm not asking for dungeons to drop mythics or anything, but it would be nice to get a few more unique/rare/legendaries from dungeons when 2.0 drops.

With the Forgery Chest and Dungeon Merchants, I think dungeon loot is in a good place. Runes, some exclusive gear, emeralds, XP, mythic chance. . . . Perhaps the emerald/loot rain at the end of a dungeon is a bit underwhelming, but other than that, dungeon loot is good. But the Forgery Chest and token items make up for it, IMO.

My only problem is with most Dungeon Merchant items, you don't see many of them appear in OP build threads. Like, there's Orange Lily, Infidel, Black Catalyst sometimes. There's one Royal Hydrangea build, two barely viable Black Amaranth builds. . . . I'm probably missing a few (almost forgot the EO items, does anyone use the relik from it? The spear? I think the others are usable). It'd be wonderful for the rest of those items to be viable for endgame builds, from CUR, CSST, etc. So, it's more of an item balancing problem than like, a loot problem.

    Edit: grammar.
I forgot a lot of Dungeon Merchant items, some I didn't realize came from them.

I agree, and this thread of your stems into the huge discussion to be had and that has been had over the state of the economy. I won't go into that. Mythics CAN drop from dungeon rain upon completion but the chance is incredibly tiny - a lot of players don't bother waiting around for dungeon rain to run its course.

Imo, as someone with thousands of dungeon runs (not including boss alters don't even get me started how many of those I have) I really wish rewards were better. I've been meaning to draft a thread on the economy, but more specifically dungeons. Rn I'm too lazy and it's 5am so that ain't happening today.

I have just over 200 7/7 forgery chests opened, and many failed runs due to bugs and stupid deaths. The loot is terrible for how long it takes to complete. Raids are much better.

Orange Lily is the only outrageously overpowered dungeon item that comes to mind. Perhaps The Nothing has building too easy also (evident in how incredibly cheap yet strong morph set w/ it is). The Watched goes pretty unused, you're right. The Forsaken is kinda weak/harder to use than other endgame water spears, such as your mentioned Infidel. I would argue, however, that pretty much most of the corrupted dungeon and higher level dungeon items are in a good place. CSST has amazing items bruh, the only questionable one - which is still usable - is Sacramentalia off the top of my head. I agree that Forest Aconite and Black Amaranth could be better from CUR. Most people think Yellow Rose sucks but it doesn't really, it's just glassy and nobody likes glassy mage.

Woah I wrote so much I have a headache I think I went internet warrior mode on you guys so I'll be sure to come back and proof read this tomorrow *collapses from sleep deprivation*

The falling emeralds should be changed to falling emerald blocks, maybe nerf the amount by a lil bit tho
