SPOILER Dern might be coming sooner than we think... (2.0 spoilers here btw)

So Hero Beta opened yesterday and I was doing the new / reworked quests like a normal person, until I stumbled upon something very cool but also very interesting... Aldorei's Secret Part II, A quest all about an elf named Olon trying to uncover the truth of the immortality the elves inside of Aldorei have after his parents passed away... anyways I was doing it and in the last part of the quest you enter a magical cave underneath the cherry blossom tree in Aldorei to discover the truth, the truth is what matters here:

Basically its a cutscene explaining that the elves were the ones responsible for the end of the world by opening The Portal to The Realm of Light, apperantly it triggered a chain reaction which caused all other portals to open(Nether Portal, Dern Portal) AND FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER IN THE HISTORY OF WYNN,
They showed us the Roots of Corruption BEFORE THE PORTAL OPENED and on top of that they also showcased the portal to dern in a quest for the first time ever,

Now you may be asking, Legend, whats so important about this? its cool and all but why do you think dern might be coming soon???

And my answer is: 3 UPDATES IN A ROW NOW they polished the Storyline of The War of The Realms including changing the entire plot in both The Realm of Light questline and in Aldorei's Secret and many more quests about the Light, they added TONS of secret discoveries covering this topic(and ik that fact well, since 1.20 beta cuz I got them all on there...) AND ALSO THE MOST IMPORTANT PART:

They added the Silent Expanse to the game aka Road to Dern. Basically they're kinda "preparing" for Dern and yeah idk it just came in my mind when I was doing the quest

Also quick note that idk if its anything interesting but in Hollow Sirenity(A new quest)A character called Garvan lets a Dernic Parasite(one of the only times they used Dernic in the start of a parasite's name)infect his daugher... idk tell me what you think I think it makes sense but at the same time they might just be trying to get some content while finishing dern or fruma so uh idk


Oh and after I finished typing this I just realized I forgot that they added a new raid IN THE SILENT EXPANSE SO UH YEAH

Edit: If someone still sees this uh just saying, I did fantastic voyage and they basically revamped the strange realm to be a "mini" dern ig, they added The Eye as part of the quest
and they made the entire realm be filled with void holes and eyes and dernic plants and stuff...

 

The Nameless Anomaly also ties into The War of the Realms, if you want a little bit more fuel for your fire

bro thats so dumb, the OG lore of humans opening it as a consequence of their own greed was so much cooler.

 

the lore is now that the villagers are the greedy ones and the humans are warriors, and the elves doing it shows that even they aren't perfect. but yeah

 

Yeah, now instead of monetary greed being the cause of it all, it’s a religious zealot attempting to breach heaven and achieve enlightenment which ends up dooming the whole world. Totally lame.

Wow victim blaming, i thought this was above you all, they were innocent miners looking for emeralds. When the darkness seeped in they made the noble sacrifice of trapping themselves in to save the entire world, nobody could have seen a giant portal that spawns undead for hundreds of years coming

 

At the bare minimum they're tidying up the Dern lore, which is very tasty

 

i wonder if the raid that takes place in se about the creature of darkness somehow ties into dern that would be quite shocking
