2.0 Assassin Archetypes (i think I'll mix shadestepper with acrobat )

The best looking or most promising assassin archetype i want to know as an assassin main

 

Trapper isn't an Assassin archetype

Replace Trapper with Trickster

From what I can tell from now, shadestepper seems like the closest thing we have to current assassin (very solid archetype), trickster is definitely the gimmicky one and acrobat seems like it’s gonna take a crap ton of skill

 

All I'm sad about is losing my smoke-eggs. Egging folks was tone of the best parts of Assassin :(

BUT I do recommend Acrobat- it honestly looks so much fun to me and I'm totally willing to take the time to learn all the tricks and hope you are too if that's the one you pick.

 

There are two specific Shadestepper abilities that allow your next attack to deal double and triple damage (respectively) in certain circumstances. I'd say if we're talking about damage in terms of the best archetype for assassin, Shadestepper takes the cake (it is labeled as glass cannon after all). Acrobat will probably be less "bursty" but still good damage. Trickster (my beloved) I cannot say too much about because the dev stream didn't show off many Trickster specific abilities

 

I'm gonna be assuming everyone voting for trapper voted for trixkster

I'll most likely be playing shadestepper. I don't care that it's etw built into a class archetype, it looks cool and I want to actually assassinate things instead of just sitting next to some dude and beating him up.

This is all sleculation, so I could be wrong about all of this:
Shadestepper may struggle to get backstabs in raids because of the boss constantly chasing someone else, and they may not be able to get it at all against a guild tower. Acrobat looks awesome but needs obsticles to bounce off of to stay in the air. However, pretty much all boss areanas in wynncraft are flat terrain. As for the Trickster, it just summons a bunch of clones and shreads through everything. It works without conditions or fuss.

I mean, realistically speaking the only thing you need on acrobat is some jump height; plus it seems to get a double jump intrinsically as far as I can tell

All sound cool, but i will stick to Shadestepper

 

Probably shadestepper would be the best with proper mana management

But acrobat looks really fun, I'd play it if I don't mess up control and run into fire everytime
