How long does someone have to not play for friend recruiting?

I have been trying to recruit some of my friends who haven't played in a while. However, I get a message that they aren't eligible to be recruited. One of my friends hasn't logged in for 6 years now, which is in my opinion quite a long time. Does anyone know how long does someone have to not play for friend recruiting to work?

forgot if i ever mentioned but people are suspecting 1 year as a bit shorter ones did not count

 

I know it is more than 7 years, I try to invite an old friend but it is not possible : « this player is not eligible to be recruited ».

 

I guess there is no way I am ever inviting anyone who already logged into wynncraft once then...

 

your said friend might have been back for at least 3 days or have logged in for at least once in 1 year

 

He didn’t connected to wynncraft since 7 years. It was just for the friend test
