The Truth About The Forgery

In the Portal to Dern an npc with '???' nametag is needed to start hunters calling quest, this guy shows alternate realities and the world if u were on the side of evil, i believe the forgery is a vision of an alternate future for what would happen if bosses become corrupted and much stronger or won against the player.

So with all this, it only makes sense to know that the forgery was created by '???' to show a future of the bosses if they got stronger or won earlier to guide the player or to make better choices and show what we do could have impacted the world for the better or the worse.

I don't think Black Sans (???) is all too important, seems like he's probably a member of a species from Dern considering the new boss in 2.0 looks very similar to him. Also, according to the secret discovery Fracture in Reality, the Forgery was created when some runes were combined. According to the item lore of the mythic bow Az, the specific runes may have been Nii, Az and Ek though that isn't really important. As interesting as the connection you made is, it doesn't seem that the Forgery and A Hunter's Calling are related. Maybe they have some link in how they work but I don't think they are quite the same.

 

i know every secret discovery is 100% lore canon and never wrong but i prefer this head canon a lil better, who knows for sure tho maybe black sans did create the forgery maybe with the runes, it is said rune guardians appeared after the forgery to protect to runes, i have no idea how thats possible but black sans might've created them but still there are no ek runes which is weird

All that said theres no way i could prove this theory being true, im just connecting it on loose knots and threads that somewhat make sense( like trying to say whats in fruma or dern)

 

The Forgery was made the union of Runes by unknown Runesmiths, however, you are right about it being an alternate reality. Inside of the forgery is a fissure to a possible future were The War of the Realms has ruined everything, and all of Wynn is corrupted.
The Gatekeeper NPC in A Hunter's Calling is Dark, not corrupt. They're Dernic in nature, but not Dernic in motive. They seem to possess a will entirely separate from dern, seeming indifferent to Dern's desire to make the equinox unable to be balanced again.
