    I wonder how the puppets will work. (And if the tracking will make them fantastic or terrible)

    Projectile speed could be an issue if they're stationary too, especially against bosses who move a lot. Having 3 of them might be the solution to bad tracking though :/

    Yeah, bosses like Robob who fly around could be a problem. Actually even more of a problem might be the puppets focusing on enemies you don’t need to kill. Like the extra bosses in death metal, or Robob’s swords. Or even, god forbid, Dr. Legendary’ tnt. Gazers might even be a problem, or adds in tcc.

    Also, for all we know the knife isn’t actually a projectile and is instead a hitscan particle beam (in which case hopefully server lag doesn’t screw it over)

    it’ll prolly still be good for cool factor though. And dps is dps. It might also have more cool stuff as well or you might get to pick the target somehow.

    Being a hit scan would probably solve a lot of the issues, thankfully server lag hasn't been too bad recently from my experience but it's always notoriously bad during patch launches so if that's the case it might take some time to properly assess any turret skills like that. For targeting, just in general since I can't imagine this is the only skill like this, having a targeting choice would be great but any consistency at all would at least be good, even if it's something not fantastic like nearest target. I kind of hope it targets either strongest in range or who you hit last but those might be overly hopeful :(

    For specific bosses you're spot on though, having automated attacks might turn out to be useless or at worst a major issue (the idea of your clones killing you with the TNT... yikes), but at least having the option is an improvement over what we have now with spell layouts so I can't really complain. Not being meta hopefully won't mean it can't be fun to mess around with.

    Honestly I’m not sure how useful that’ll be; usually you can just kite enemies until they’re close enough together to hit with a single ice snake. Maybe if every snake could hit the same enemy, it’d be good to combo with Manachism or something, but otherwise I dunno.
    I could be wrong though considering I haven’t played mage in like a year

    I wonder how that's going to work with controlling them though since if they can converge that means they'll all need to start from the same place. Maybe it would be cool if they worked like shamans melee where they started off converged but headed off in different directions so if you were close you could get all three, if not it just gives it some AOE. Bonus points if holding shift converges the three lines but that's probably asking too much.

    The other issue is that as far as I'm aware, I don't think IS does much damage. I could be wrong about that but even with 3 hitting I still don't really see it comparing to current meteor. It has worse AOE (or at least less useful AOE) and imo having three snakes freezing makes CC worse by making the kiting movements more complicated. The only use I've ever seen for IS was to set up bundles of enemies for meteors but idk, maybe it's some crazy meta I haven't caught onto yet. Alternatively, maybe there's a meteor replacement which capitalizes on this by dealing a ton of damage to frozen enemies or a massive buff to IS damage. Feels pretty unlikely though :(

    Also, the requirement is just level 1 so this is probably the first upgrade in the tree, for all we know it could get up to an auto targeting ice ring around the player which constantly casts snakes out or something broken at max level so it not being great makes a lot of sense with that in mind.

    We have already seen the triple ice snake in the trailer(it's the scene they used for the thumbnail), they start off from the point of cast and spread in 3 different directions. Whether they can be controlled afterward or not we don't know. 50.png 50.5.png 50.5b.png

    Assuming that's one of the minor ability changes, it's nice to see that they'll still be more than just "10% extra damage"
    Also it's mithril not mythril how could you Salted

    Edit: It probably isn't because it has the same name colour as the shuriken attack. Still could be interesting though...

    Damn, I wonder if "immune to knockback" means literally being able to walk through wave spells as if you have max agility (even if you have no agility)
    Because that would be awesome, and something a tank sorely needs

    Honestly not sure whether to be impressed or worried that people are studying the trailer so hard
    Also the "Acevro" bow is probably a new addition as well if anyone's interested

    To be honest I'm worried that the power of spells and intelligence will drop significantly in 2.0. Without cost reductions, it will be difficult to sustain enough mana to use spells as a main damage source. There are some upgrade options to help restore mana, but will it be enough?

    Oh, I think the opposite will happen. Even nowadays it's more about sustain than anything else (It's just easier to build sustain with lower spell costs, and tbh it does cap out a little bit at higher cps, but that is solved by int raising mana capacity). People will just run low int high mana more often perhaps (There's also new stuff like manachism and arcane healing that recuperates mana). Personally I think spell builds are going to be even stronger

    Plus I have a hunch that spell costs will still be reducible in some way, like with water armor.

    Also, just more speculation, I wonder where this multiplier is going. Is it multiplicative, or additive with tomes, or with warrior base ehp?

    Also also, to add on to my previous point, “knock back immunity” obviously evokes the idea of being immune to hit stun. But I wonder if it’ll also apply to push/pull spells.
