Hey guys, a little bit of an update, but something weird has happened.
It seems like every easter egg has been removed from the website.
Typing wynncraft.com/bXdK724269bigbigpotato just redirects you to an error 404 page now
The weird code no longer appears near the classes of a player profile (bXdK724269bigbigpotato)
And most importantly, it seems as though the original encoded image that appeared on the background of the Stats page is now gone (the one that started this whole thing)
This all seems a little weird, maybe there has been a public statement about this I just haven't seen.

Edit: Thinking a bit more about it, it was honestly pretty clear they were eventually going to remove stuff like the weird code on the player stats page, it just looked so out of place.
However, I find it weird that everything else is gone, almost like the "party has ended" y'know? In the original message it even said to look out for more texts like that, even though I'm pretty sure we found none. Something just feels missing. Best I can do is hope that this is a full on easter egg hunt divided into phases, and we are just going on to the next one.

Might have been an idea that they partially implemented, decided against finishing it, but never got around to removing

The thing that I find is weird is that Nepmia, the web developer (and the person in the encoded message) actually commented here. I mean, I take that devil emoji as a way of poking us, that we are onto something.
They were aware that people had found the easter eggs. Perhaps it got way too popular and they were afraid it might actually create some fake hype. (Like, imagine the entire fanbase scavenging the entire website just to maybe find some 2.0 clues) I mean, I don't really think this is what happened, just speculating. Atleast to me it seems like this whole hunt was contained to this single post, didn't really see it anywhere else.
I really don't understand why they would remove the rickroll link tho, it seemed like a cool way to troll people without posting youtube links (which I think most are technically not allowed due to rule 9 of no advertising)
Unless the weird code and the rickroll link never were related to the easter egg hunt. I mean, finding the rickroll link using the code felt like a proper easter egg, but the code itself DID seem out of place
If that was the case, then the only real easter egg was the encoded message, which literally just said it contained no clues to finding other easter eggs...
Maybe what actually happened was the opposite of what I said earlier. They understood that the community was aware of the easter egg hunt, but they weren't finding anything relevant, so they just closed it.

Which actually reminds me of the code. I originally thought it was some kind of cipher, even if the "bigbigpotato" part didn't make sense to be there. But I just don't know any tool to actually decode this stuff. Best I can do is look up "cipher decoder" on google.
So yeah that's all I wanted to say

Yeah, the other problem is that it's too short to contain anything meaningful if its an enciphered message.

Hopefully they'd tell us though if they shut down the hunt...

Bruh, they could've atleast kept the rickroll link then.
Look, my bad, but this doesn't even feel like an easter egg. Thank god someone decided to do something like this, it brings the community closer and I'll always welcome it, however... this kinda feels like a middle finger.
There quite literally wasn't any easter egg, they just wanted to troll the people who found the link. What am I supposed to think, "Nice"?
It's like having an actual easter egg hunt for chocolates or smth, except you don't get any chocolate even if you find them. The experience of finding them is your reward.
Which is fine by me, like I said, I love it when games do this. I just feel like there should be a little something as reward, y'know? The existance of the wynncraft rickroll link would have already been excellent in my book, but we don't even have that.
The plan isn't to spread negativity, and I really hope this isn't the last time we see easter eggs on the website, just sharing my thoughts.
With that said, I'd like to give a thumbs up to the person who had this idea. Not all content meant to entertain the players has to be inside the game, and these kind of things are really cool :sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses:
