    I bet it’s for the same reason that spamming the same spell increases it’s cost, or there’s a formal cook down for individual spells now.

    After having such a simple and mundane set of spells for 9 years, it’s mind boggling how complex and in-depth the new combat system.

    This is basically the Gavel update but instead of for items, it's for spells. Absolutely insane, hopefully it all works well :)

    If I had to guess, Focus might be recovered when you're not spamming spells. So ig this kinda opens the door for Heavy Spell builds. Although I'm 99% certain that focus is recovered like Mana and there'll be new IDs.

    highly doubt new ids (too many ids aaaaaa), safest guess is a recovery over time system but that sounds super boring so we'll see

    and 99% sure focus will be exclusive to sharpshooter since it's a hunter-only resource in WoW

    considering you only need one other upgrade from the trapper tree to get the trap upgrade it seems possible that you can just invest like three/four points into the trapper tree to get the extra damage (if it works like I said it might earlier) and then put the rest into whatever else

    even if that's true, it still doesn't answer the opportunity cost loss since points will absolutely be limited enough that taking traps would be a real loss

    the concept of opportunity cost kinda fundamentally invalidates any sort of "well you can just take it with something else" nah if it's like what we think then it'll just suck unless it gets super busted numbers

    I’d say the opportunity cost of getting a 450% damage bomb arrow would probably outweigh the cost of most things especially with how little investment it seems to need. It never says that it replaces the bomb arrow explosion, remember; it just places the trap where the bomb lands, without mentioning an arming time or anything. It’s just a straight up like 80% damage increase AFAICT.

    Also a couple of things that I realized: The speed of passive mana regen has increased yes, but also the amount you regen has also seemed to increase, for lvl 63 and under (Based off of what has been shown in the video, could be higher by a bit) they regen the standard 1 mana tick, But for lvl 78 to 99 (Something along those lines) they regen 2 mana ticks, and at lvl 100+ they regen 3 mana ticks. I also was wondering if mana regen would have been changed but at 1:29-1:32 (Somewhere around there) you can see that the player only regen'd like 13mr, which is decently high but doesn't seem like anything too absurd, especially considering they were using a water weapon (full water, you can tell by the spell hits) (Also earthquake [what im calling it] replaces bash pepelaugh) and for fallen warrior they have skulls, three, maybe something similar to arrow shield? Purple damage is likely status effect damage pepelaugh.

    New update is so hype oml
    I am literally going to create 3 archer classes and play all the archetypes
    New spells look badass as heck
    And the spell tree menu looks like it could actually be in like an official rpg game

    Perhaps mana regen will also be changed to counter this "nerf". For example your mr would regenerate as a % of your total mana bar so 200 mana would give you twice the effective sustain as 100 mr.

    This is good, i like this.

    The fact that it seems really cheap and accesible to unlock makes it seem nice no matter what archetype you choose to invest into.
