Spell toxo is pretty much impossible, so I went with melee and got this:

it's... not as good as other weapons but it's something - almost 30k dps in totem, plus the poison.

i tried this ages ago but with only hive items then i realized i couldnt do that
so uh
time to try

wait are we allowed to use non-hive weaps
since infused hive weapons are kinda cringe ngl
take up the master hive slot and do like three dmg

So I made two builds. Spell is much more viable here since Blossom Haze is the only dagger, but I did melee as well.

Playstyle: Heavy spell
Restrictions: Use the fabled chestplate "inhibitor"
Preferences: Nirvana hspell maybe? sounds pretty cursed

Restrictions: a build that unironically uses wind prison. must be better than all the other powder specials (is it even possible???)
Preferences: off meta for bonus points

 

Actually now that I think about it you can't really do hspell nirvana so I'm fine if you use a different weapon. If you somehow manage to make nirvana hspell work I will have gained all respect for you.

Conclusions I drew from this:
a) Gert Bangswing Manypointystick is falsely advertised as a good weapon
b) Blue Mask is really the only helmet that gives a lot of skill points (I spent half an hour trying to get one more tier out of the helmet but Blue Mask was the only item that functioned with the build)
c) It's surprisingly easy to get around the -30 sp that Master Hive items give

Wow, Nirvana hspell is actually a really good idea - super high damage and a 50% chance not to cost any mana for it
but yeah Inhibitor kinda sucks
who could've guessed

So that's a melee one - I have rather a lot of experience building with only uniques, but throwing a Warp into the mix totally throws me off and I don't really know how to go about doing this.

I changed "rainbow" to "WFA", cause red white and blue
damn wfa tstack is impossible

 

Alkatraz melee is so powerful that if it's any faster than this, the melee dps trumps the spell dps
