Armor powders not required, but I'd try to get the least -earth ele defs as you can with earth powders if you want to be able to play extremely aggressive. Beyond that, dodge powdering will just increase damage. I've heard that you don't even need A6 powders, you just need 2 armor pieces A4 powdered to get benefits. So, use this how you will, but this will definitely work. It's meant to be played at 50% health or below. You can swap to contrast if you get below like 30% hp.

I used to play with that build or something very simmilar, but after the str/dex changes the dmg got nerfed by a good amount. So i made some alterations and created some of the builds from dogwqter's link, and I think they perform better than this older version

This one hits hard (even tho its less tanky)
You can really increase your hp sustain with everlasting tomes

 

Makes sense. Those builds certainly look better for playing above 50% hp, and for going up against enemies without elemental spell multipliers that would hurt your ele defs. My build, however, is tankier and is made to withstand even eye meteors. I suppose it’s a judgement call for OP, but if one plans to use Saviour’s sacrifice effectively I think you need next to no -ele defs.
