    The guy came up, spammed the rapier a few times (two hits to proc) and then ran away while I died. Forgot how awful low-level invasions are at first.

    I'm pretty sure he was overleveled; I think it's using a similar system to what they had in DS3 which allowed for some really weird invasions, level-wise. I also got invaded (within ten minutes of that invasion) by a guy with over 2k hp and the weapon art from the second-to-last boss (not naming, to avoid spoilers), which backs up this theory.
