Simple question, really (and very possibly already asked.) List your top 10 favorite OST’s and why, if you like going into detail.

I like "Tale of the century", "Bottom of the food chain", "Mirage of dust", A-U-T-O-M-A-T-I-O-N", "Everpresence", "Genesis of the end", " A Family Fractured", "Journey", "War-weary reverie", and "Point of no return". They all just sound either nice and relaxing, or intense/actiony/erie which i kind of like

    1. Day to Remember
I think this song is perfect for the "final boss" of the game. It shows how far the player has come since the beginning and honestly, it I think this song fits better as the player's battle theme even though it is labeled as Aledar and Tasim's battle theme, especially the part where it kind of becomes a remix of Detla's theme.

    2. Genesis of the End
Works amazingly with the hecticness of The Eye battle and especially makes the wretches phase a ton more intense and enjoyable with this song playing. Plus, I just think it's one of the most well-made and iconic songs in Wynncraft.

    3. The Last Stand
This song works perfectly as Bob's theme song and is even better during Wynn Plain's ult discovery when Ragni's theme merges with this song, and then it cuts to Bob chasing Bak'al down.

    4. Epic Wynn
This song has the most amount of nostalgia for me, and everytime I start a new playthrough and go through the tutorial with this song playing, it reminds me of how simple and normal everything seems in the early game portions of Wynncraft.

    5. Epic Gavel
Really tells the player that they're gonna through a ton of crazy shit throughout their Gavel adventure. Reaching around level 40, heading to Gavel through Seaskipper for the first time and hearing this as soon as you arrive on the docks of Llevigar is one of the best feelings.

    6. For the Future
This song is single handedly what makes Llevigar's ult discovery one of my favorite in the game. It gives that feeling of hope and emphasises the importance of the ult discovery. Just like "Day to Remember" the part of the song where you can hear a slight bit of Detla's theme is cool too

    7. The Hardiest of Souls
There is no reason for this somewhat small and forgettable city to have music that slaps this fucking hard.

    8. Wynn's Shining Fortress
Listening to this song really makes you feel like you've done so much and made so much progression. This song gives Troms it's powerful feeling to it and makes you feel that you're truely at the "endgame" portion of the Wynn Province.

    9. What Must Be Done
Definetly one of the most depressing songs in the game. That moment where this song starts kicking in as soon as he tells you that he wants you to sacrifice him instead makes that cutscene so much better and more sad.

    10. Infinite Ascension
Really good sounding song and makes fighting the bosses of ToA way more intense, especially the final boss of ToA.

no particular order lets go (im not counting so this might end up being like 50 songs long)

Journey: definitely my favorite 1.20 track. lots of character, tons of expression in it. imo it outdoes play the savior, which i think is a lot more popular?

Allegiances as Quicksand: super awesome song!!! it genuinely just sounds really cool and smooth. also gives me nostalgia from my first time doing the mercenary and getting completely lost in the barracks as i listened to this. good times

Dormancy Reversal: not a well known track, but i think it's pretty beautiful. bass-heavy melodies in wynn tend to be rad

Stormy Seas: i mean come on now. if you don't like this song, contact me because i'm sure we can work out a place and time to fight in person so i can physically hurt you

High Tides: hot take maybe but i think high tides is a cooler song than stormy seas, especially in noteblock form (not that i don't love both). it sounds super adventurous and makes holding W for 2000 blocks fun.

Pioneered Triumph: god this song is so catchy. i remember hearing this song before ever doing wynnexcavation C (or probably even A lmao) and getting hyped for whatever this island had in store for me later on. it's also just super fitting for wynnexcavation and cool in general. if only wynnex c was good am i right!

Tale of the Century: you know what, stop reading this thread right now and go listen to this song. if you've never heard it before, start now. in my opinion this is the best song in the game, with a hauntingly epic melody, chilling echoes, and a fantastic quest to accompany it. this song right here is the reason flight in distress is the quest i hype myself up for the most in every single playthrough

Clear Sky Lullaby: like a super unknown song???? and its so good????? such a relaxing, peaceful song. love it

Peaks of Ash and Flame: really somber yet hopeful song. this piece does so much for the upper heights, really making me feel immersed in both the location and the tragic story of the doguns. also its so catchy help

Freedom in Darkness: am i allowed to have 2 favorite songs? because this piece is just so perfect for the (ghost?) town of lutho; in the midst of literal lovecraftian hell, with residents who have long since given up hope and abandoned their souls as their husks wither. i've probably spent over a hundred hours semi-afking in lutho, hearing this song play, and it only gets better as time goes on. ultimately i'd probably say this is my 2nd favorite song in the game

For the Future: already said before which is awesome, but this song tries like three unique styles and they all work wonderfully. in the context of the discovery, it's a really powerful song that makes the whole scenario feel so much more important

Where They Wandered: yep someone had to say it. i could write a whole essay about how much i love the ruins and their song, but instead i'll just point you to the top comment.

Travelling at Dusk: maybe it doesn't count, but this song will always stay with me as one of my favorites. that melody is just so cool, and even if i wasn't playing wynn back when this was around, it gives me a ton of nostalgia from when i was new and listened to this on youtube. a shame it had to be removed, even if i understand why

Settlements of Freedom: how did i forget this one until now??? this was my favorite track for a long time, before i ever went to corkus. i love how well the mysterious echoes mix with the all-familiar corkus beat. this doesn't actually play in the real corkus docks now, but since i had wynntils music player on, i got to listen to this during my first playthrough of envoy I, and man was it exciting. i'll never forget the feeling of excitement i felt really seeing corkus for the first time

No Place to Hide: a song that lexdale witch trials simply cannot live up to. city in the middle of gavellian hell? yes. citizens with no hope for the future? yes. demonic cult? hell yes. this song perfectly encapsulates what lexdale used to be like, and it's really a shame how much character the town has lost

Everpresence: 339 eo runs later, and i still love this song. you're in a giant alien structure, flitting through dimensions and realities, redefining your definition of reality as you go, climbing your way up to defeat the everpresent beast that's pulled the strings of your life and the lives of all others for centuries. all of that is this song. the outlook would be none of this without this song.

i got bored writing good descriptions
Call of the Orient: really lovely, catchy piece. not a super big fan of the quest here, but the music always makes it a treat.

Forlorn Halls: se but not on crack

    War-Weary Reverie: {insert description for clear sky lullaby}

Mind of a Pirate: most pirate-y song in the game and i love it. this actually hyped me up for gg when i was pretty low level listening to it

Melody of Reckoning: such a cool song why does no one talk about it ever??? this makes the amadel fight so cool the first time round, and it's a cool tune in general. definitely makes me sound crazy but this is my favorite boss theme in the game. sorry xavier and corpe but idk man something about the simplicity of it gets me

End of the Road: where it all ends. really fitting and honestly just really epic overall
not by any means a complete list but that would quite literally be composed of every single piece except horizon of the east so yeah

Before I say anything, I have to say that my all-time, hands-down favorite song of ALL TIME is “Fresh Breeze of Salt.” I went through the thread twice and was very shocked not to see it anywhere…. But that's just my opinion. NOW:

Basically all my favorites I thought were highly underrated and I am grateful to everyone for proving me wrong. Now, I don’t know if it’s weird to answer your own thread, but I’d like to list my own favorites (not in order. It’s impossible to rank them)

    Fresh Breeze of Salt.

I won’t even try to describe it, ‘cause I know I'll never get down in words how awesome I think this song is. But I will say that I think it could easily be the official theme of Wynncraft.

    War-Weary Reverie.

I absolutely LOVE this one and it’s so sad that it’s one of those masterpieces you only get to hear once in your entire playthrough. It’s just millions and millions of layers playing similar melodies and is one of the most powerful and inspiring in the game. And I know that Tale of the Century is almost identical in style, but I’d personally pick War-Weary Reverie over it.

    Settlements of Freedom.

Obviously, this wasn’t one that I thought was underrated. It’s ridiculously catchy, and seems to give good harbor-vibes at parts. And, once again, LAYERS. A dozen melodies at once, all with perfect rhythm and power. AND ALSO I’m sure people have already noticed this but YOU CAN’T HEAR IT AT THE CORKUS DOCKS ANYMORE SOMEONE PLEASE FIX THAT!!

    All Eyes on Me.

This is a complete and utter masterpiece, giving off insane chaos and confusion and playing its part in the Silent Expanse more than perfectly. It literally sounds like something out of a 1980’s horror movie and it’s the best thing in the world.

    Fringe of Fantasy.

This absolutely SLAPS. It’s incredibly adventurous, pumping with adrenaline and making you want to explore Gavel like never before. The beat is perfect and even seems to bring out what the land is going through at parts.

    Corkian National Anthem.

I think this is probably the best fitting Corkian song in all of Corkus. The beat literally sounds like shifting gears, and you can almost hear steam hissing in the background. The song is really one, big pounding build-up to the end, getting heavier and more powerful. AND THE END, OH MY GOSH IT LITERALLY SOUNDS LIKE SOMEONE BANGING THEIR HEAD ON A PIANO- no- A MILLION PIANOS AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!

    The Forest Dies.

I still think it’s hilarious how such a supposedly awful place has such an amazing, catchy song. And I'm not saying it doesn’t fit, because I think it’s perfect. It’s an awesome intro to the darker side of Gavel, and the player gets to see what's really happening to it.

ALSO This isn’t really related to this, but does anyone know what song plays in the Kander Forest?? I really like it but I can’t find it ANYWHERE. If somebody knows then please tell me.

    Understated Pride.

BEST. TOWN. THEME. EVER (and yes, that applies to Maltic as well. I’m sorry, but that's just my opinion.) This has been one of my favorites ever since I started playing and I went there all the time just to hear it. It’s quite nostalgic for me, actually. The base is really funny in the beginning, giving you villager-vibes. The melody is easily one of the catchiest in the game, and all-in-all is a perfect fit for a tiny town like Elkurn.

    Wynn’s Shining Fortress.

One word:RHYTHM. It could not be more perfect, creating yet another ridiculously catchy song in general. The song fits beautifully with Troms’ grand look and feel, enhancing it immensely. In parts you can’t help but think of all that this city has been through, and then you feel all the more amazed and proud at how triumphant it is today and what a spectacular addition to the Wynncraft world it is.

    Sun-Stained Stones.

This song is absolutely beautiful, and- unlike CoTL- I’m always more than happy to get lost in the Mesa. I admit it doesn’t have too great of a desert-mesa type vibe, but it’s still one of the best traveling songs, and personally I’ve never found it to get repetitive whatsoever.

Welp, there’s ten songs. There’s gazillions more, but there’s my best effort to pick my top ten. I’ve realized that I'll never, ever describe them perfectly, but I tried I guess.

ALSO wanted to add finally that I think the Noteblock versions are much better. imma head out now :I

Where they wandered - I really love the atmosphere this song creates and it's perfect for the Olmic City and the Omniperspective Wanderer

The Binding Alliance - I just really like it

Black Road Nostalgia - It's in the name, but this along with all the other wynn-plains songs are really nostalgic, this one is my favourite though.

Sun-stained Stones - Completely fits the Mesa and is an all-round great tune.

The Last Stand - I like Bob's story and this is his theme + I really like how it is integrated in the Ultimate Discovery

Blazing Mountain - I like this because it sounds impressive.

The Hardiest of Souls - I like Dwarves

The Unforgiving Slopes - I like Vikings

Luxury of the Cease-fire - Who doesn't like Ragni?

Jewel of the Desert - I like Ragni but I think I might prefer Almuj

(Bonus) Travelling at Dusk - Sadly no longer in the game for a reason I do not know but this is a great song.

I could list a lot more and there might be more I like even more than these but these are the ones I could think off of the top of my head.

Tale of the Century-This is the perfect fit for Flight in Distress-the melody perfectly represents a turbulent, and dangerous-yet breathtaking airship flight.
End of the Road-An extremely unnerving OST for an extremely unnerving place. It really adds to the "existential crisis" vibes of AHC.
Play the Saviour-My personal favorite of the three raid boss themes(which are all really good as well.) It's extremely intense and powerful, really adding to the "world's end" mood of the Orphion fight.
Wynn's Shining Fortress-This OST's rhythm makes it sound like a slow but powerful military march, a theme that fits the great fortress-city of Troms extremely well.
Genesis of the End-The incorporations of the player's motif, the volatile rhythm, and the alien-like melody fit the Eye extremely well.
Mistress of the Hive-While this isn't intense as the other two bossfight OSTs on here, it does a good job at making Qira's fight feel like a dance of prowess rather than a murderous duel to the death.
