How much money does salted actually make?

So, how much would salted make? I don't think the mods are getting paid so all money from store goes to salted(maybe idk correct me if im wrong) but how much would he make like a year? He probably pays someone to host the server but if I remember ims and builders are volunteers.

In an AMA he did on Reddit someone asked him that and he said that he wouldn't say the exact number but that it's enough to get by and have an apartment

Feel like this is could be a very sensitive subjects buy I'd imagine after the cost of paying the staff, keeping the website up, server expenses, etc, he would make a pretty good amount

 

I don't think it would be very much. Remember Salted isn't the sole owner too, it's split 3 ways between him, Jumla, and Grian. Also the server's monetisation is based off 1-time purchases, so it relies mostly on new players, not veterans.

 

All I can say for sure is that all money they make comes from the store, Alot is made from crates during events(at least this year) and else alot is from bombs etc. especially when a new update hit or during dxp weekend. Things that that money is spent on are obv servers (both web and ingame) and then there are the devs (Crunkle, red, HeyZeer0)(also colin until recently) and the owners (Grian, Jumla, Salted). And then ontop of that I would imagine some other people might also be paid for some jobs and work they do on the server that isn't done by the volunteer staff.
