Detective Fedora = Killer Exclusive?

Other TF2 plays might have noticed this as well. When I first saw the new Godly tier fedora headgear skin in the Festival of the Blizzard crates, I immediately thought that it looked very inspired by the TF2 hat called the Killer Exclusive. The colors, style, band, and even paper on the side of the hat all match or are very similar.

Anyways, just something I thought was interesting.

tf2 did not invent this type of hat

 

Yeah it's inspired by it; a handful of other hats are also inspired by TF2 hats, like the Voodoo Tophat taking inspiration from Voodoo Juju (Slight Return) and the holiday lights from the Industrial Festivizer.

Other inspirations include the Decayed Skull being inspired by the binding of Isaac host hat, and the Boreal set inspired by terraria boreal underground cabins

 

Well that's obvious. Of course they didn't invent the hat, they are merely recreating a style that was popular in the past and placing it into their game. However, by doing so, they created a specific fedora with that color, band, shape, etc. that they called the Killer Exclusive. I mean just take a look at the google images that popped up. None of them look identical to the hat within TF2, as they don't share the same colors at all and even shape for some of them. Then you look at the hat in Wynncraft and the similarities are pretty much identical, bar the obvious block-fied style. Even then, as a trader in TF2, the Killer Exclusive is a pretty popular and well-known hat (well at least in the past or the Unusual market), so it wouldn't be too surprising if it was inspired.
