Need help with quest tracking lol

Hello! In-game when I right-click to track a quest I don't see the red tracker anywhere. Can someone help? thank you!!

 

Left click should be quest tracking, BUT if it is right, tbh some quest don't have coordinates so, you kinda just gotta read to get the cules

 

Thank you but when I start new quests or quests I’ve already started that had trackers, it doesn’t show up. I don’t know what the problem is lol.

 

Did you accidently toggle it off?

 

I could’ve I’m away from my computer rn so I’ll check and see if I somehow did that, where do you toggle it off/on? And thank you so much for your help lol

 

Np! /toggle beacon I believe is the command, if you do just /toggle it'll give you the whole list

This is really annoying, I honestly have no idea what the problem is. I did the command a couple of times and still no beacon.

 

Are you using any mods? Huh... It's strange to think it wouldn't work!

 

Nope! no mods! lol, I hope I find out what's going on I've really been enjoying playing on the server.

 

you should download the mod Wyntillis. with Wyntillis, you get a minimap and gain access a world map by pressing M. you can also see your currently location in this world map and do other cool things like share your location and make waypoints. most importantly, when you track a quest, it gives you the red beacon, puts a marker in your world map, and adds a helpful red arrow to you in the right direction. i'm not allowed to post links as a new forum account, but look up "How to install Wyntillis" made by the channel "Wyntillis" on youtube and it'll put you on the right track. they also link you to their website in the description of that video where you can check out some of their other features.

the mod is called wynntils, not 'wyntillis'. this is not a particularly appropriate response to the OP's issue - you shouldn't have to install mods to replicate features that are supposed to be in the base game

@B4mbie - what version are you using? you might want to try different mc versions to see if one of them works

 

Wow, thank you guys for the help! The version I'm using is the latest release, that might be why the tracker isn't showing. What version do you recommend?

 

i would suggest 1.17.1

 

Just tried it and nope it still does nothing :(
