Wynntils Not Showing Up

I have Wynntils downloaded and Forge downloaded on my PC, but when I launch Minecraft it never shows Wynntils in my Mod Options, and it says there are 0 mods active in the server. Please help me as I have been trying to solve this for a couple weeks now. Here are some images of the downloads

 

Put the jar file (wynntils) to the mod file in .minecraft.

 

Does the folder you put it in make a difference?

 

yes. wynntils is a mod, so it needs to be in the mods folder just like any other mod. minecraft isn't going to recognize a folder named wyntills.

 

have you actually installed forge? your screenshot just shows that you've downloaded the forge installer, but that doesn't do anything if you don't run it
