"Double Identification"

I'm not really understand this so maybe you guys can help me out. There is a island rule on the housing island witch is "Double Identification". In this you can read that if its turned on its doubles the "effectiveness" of identification. But what is this "effectiveness" means? Is it that i have a better chance of getting better gear from iding items on my island? I'm not founding anything on the forum about this. elp pls

 

no it will not affect the rolls you have on the item in the main game, only on your island.

e.g., you have a roll of 32 WS on a gales force, but with double identifications active, ONLY on your island the identification is doubled, meaning your ws on gales force will be effectively 64 ws on your island.

 

It makes it so your stats are two times as strong (30% walkspeed becomes 60%). It has no effect on the process of IDing itself, which can only have its odds improved with the use of the item known as "corkus amplifier"
