bugged quest: Corrupted Betrayal

I was doing the corrupted betrayal quest and the quest started glitch where once I brought the slime sheep to the cave there is a cutscene that is meant to occur but for some reason nothing happens. I tried relogging, reseting my launcher and changing worlds but no hope. Is this quest bugged? Is there any way to fix it?

 

I can think of a few possible problems:
- You haven't advanced to that stage yet, you might need to talk to a guard on the path
- You missed a tripwire somewhere, /class and repeat the process
- Get a new sheep

 

well I have tried all of those, there was no stage that I skipped and I got a new sheep but in the cave I couldn't start the cutscene.

 

i think there’s a specific spot that you’re supposed to bring the sheep to (the bottom of the cave)

 

Yeah I brought the sheep down to the blood pool but the cutscene didn't activate

What worked for me was doing the quest step without it being tracked, and without interacting with anything along the way to the cave itself
