If you could change one thing about Wynncraft, what would it be? - Ask Wynncraft

Reintroduce nether pvp (or an equivalent not involving the nether) back from pre gavel. Everyone’s stats and damage will be streamlined so there isn’t a gear requirement and people could earn more daily rewards or potentially even opportunities at cosmetics for performing well. Before the EULA crackdown, the nether was an opportunity for players who didn’t spend money on the game to earn GC which was a currency used for buying cosmetics, and bringing back nether pvp can offer this same opportunity to players of the reward system is tweaked and balanced. It also was a fun place to chill in endgame back when there was no content.

 

Everyone acts like the nether before stats was the good old days, and it just worked prefectly.
Sadly its not really true. Even back then, it wasn't balanced that fairly, simply due to classes existing.

Wynncraft would need to balance every class around PvP in order to make something that resembles a fair situation, if it isn't fair, then giving out rewards becomes... Questionable aswell.

 

obviously its too late to remove them but half of this thread is about what ifs, they could bump up the rates and make it higher %'s from raids/forgery and it would make it a win win for everyone unless you're greedy and trying to screw over the market which yes people go out of there way and flip the lowest priced items so they can make an extra buck.

 

My current theory is that the nether will be added as another area in the future(Which may or may not happen, but there's only so many areas in the lore), but an official pvp arena would be cool.
Hey this is another thing that should be in wynncraft.

 

EpicCajunGamer and CountBurn both mentioned bringing back PvP in some form and I completely agree, to the point where I'd probably change my response from soul points to this. Sure, it requires a ton of balancing work, but if done right the end result would be well worth it and a great source of endgame content.

 

Never said it was perfect of course it had flaws. Obviously the damage values of each classes' spell could be tweaked significantly and different things could be mixed and matched if something was overpowered or underpowered which will only apply to the nether or some equivalent pvp arena. There could even be a small team dedicated to pvp balancing just like there is for item balancing. Plus the reward system could be revamped to have it be more participation-based while still leaving some exclusive rewards for those willing to become great at PvPing. Most MMOs have pvp-exclusive rewards anyway so I don't really see the need to bar rewarding players for performing well in it.

 

I'd love it if they brought back the monthly CT updates. It was a brilliant step in the right direction to keep the community in-the-loop and it just didn't last, sadly.
