Some of your neutral spell damage is converted into elemental. This also happens before powders, so powdering can't mitigate this effect. It's mostly annoying because it may make you lose out in damage due to either part of your damage being the wrong element and having high elemental damage boosts in the element you wanted, and part of your damage can be lost to ele defs that wouldn't have been an issue otherwise.

A fun quest to me has either an engaging story (Misadventure on the Sea), an engaging backstory (Recover the Past/Headless History), a boss battle that's actually fun (Reincarnation/Qira Hive), a character that is really entertaining (Beyond the Grave), fun and well designed puzzles for you to complete (Heart of Llevigar/???), is funny (Shattered Minds), or goes above and beyond with new ideas that people probably would've never thought of (A Hunter's Calling). The reason why I don't like some of the early game quests very much is because they're unoriginal fetch quests that don't serve any purpose on the story, how to play, or why you should do that quest. There's obvious exceptions such as King's Recruit which is now a pretty decent tutorial and teaches you a little bit about the game, The Sewers of Ragni which gives lore on the Decrepit Sewers and starts to make you wonder who Witherhead is, or Mushroom Man while not a good quest by any means at least it's, interesting? I just which there was more enjoyability in the early game of Wynncraft, one of the biggest examples I can think of for the early game getting worse is changing the level of Deja Vu, one of my favorite early game quests, from 14->27, so you have to wait even longer before doing an actual good quest.

 

more spell-changing major ids or just changing it so alternate spells can be swapped in and out to customize class kits, the current spell kits are way too limiting especially for archers

 

The fact that gavel actually has easily avaliable lore while wynn is 120% just fetch quests until level 40, and the only relevant lore-related thing readily-avaliable to you is "haha corupshun exis". They really need to revamp stuff like studying the corrupt to make it more up to date, or just redo wynn lore in general and brush the old quests over with "new xyz were uncovered recently that completely changed how we view wynn's history"

1. A fun and well-developed plot (E.g: Misadventure On the Sea, Order of the Grook)
2. Engaging (or at least likable/dislikeable for their personality) characters. Take Lari from the RoL questline. She's a pacifist until Orphion favours you more so she decides to kill you. Granted, Lari is a character featured over multiple quests, so there is more room for character development, but the point still stands.
3. The actual content of the quest. Going to a place to get a helmet to kill a boss is quite boring , especially since there are multiple quests which feature this same trope (Elemental Exercise and Temple of Legends , which is basically just a fetch-quest). On the other hand, quests like 'A Journey Beyond' are really gripping, because of its storyline, you and Aledar being singled out in a very ominous and unknown area. Quests which utilize puzzles such as Heat of Llevigar, Pirate's Trove and Deja Vu are pretty enjoyable (though I will say that if you're doing Deja Vu for the first time, it's annoying when Asher dies 3 times over and you have to sit through Martin's dialogue.)
So in conclusion, an engaging character/characters on some sort of journey, attempt to uncover a part of history or the like are good quests, and a sprinkle of puzzles and bossfights/survive sections make great quests, in my opinion.

The new dialogue system. Or atleast the shift requirement to further the dialogue, and the slow effect, the lack of ability to cast spells or attack mobs and canceling player spell at the end of it, like wtf , why does that exist?
