Is farming forgery chest worth it?

I haven't played in a while and the concept seems interesting, but the rewards seem quite...lackluster
It seems to me they don't even drop non mythic items? and I imagine 1500 emeralds would at most cover the cost for keys...

 

You do get non-mythic items. Aside from the normal legendaries and alike, there's also dungeon/forgery-specific gear (Gale's Sight, Tisauns valor, Remikas' Authority, Ensa's Faith). You also ofcourse get the normal dungeon rewards.

Normal lootrunning is a faster way to make money though. So if you're just doing it for money, no it is not worth it. If you also want some stuff from the dungeon shops, give it a try.

 

the forgery chest does not give you any items besides the dungeon-specific drops you mentioned

 

Thanks for clarifying, the item rain at the end of a dungeon still gives non-dungeon specific items, right?

 

they give you runes, dungeon special loot such as fragments and main items, and if you're really REALLY lucky then Mythics. It's probably meant as a bonus reward for completing runs as you'll 99.99% lose your money if you grind them
