Armor Powders Worth?

Is it worth it to use a bunch of t4 powders on my armor to get out of the negative defenses? Rn I have -65 earth and -35 thunder. Does that make much of a difference or is it too low of a number to matter?
Also are armor powder specials useful at all?

 

armor powdering is really only useful if you need the specials or have ridiculous negative defenses, but you shouldn't need any right now

And they can’t negatively impact me right? I have 2 water powders on my cumulonimbus helmet that I got when I bought it, so can that harm me?

 

i think they might have some -defenses of the opposite element, but probably nothing massive, and you can remove them if you want

 

It makes it like -15 to like -30 thunder df and gives some water df which I already have a ton of.
Ima prob just keep it since it doesn’t seem to affect me too much

 

I personally wouldn't be too concerned about negative defenses as long as they're small (though despite what some people say, they can matter). Unless you have absurd negative defense, I also wouldn't bother with powders for the sake of defense, only for the special. Once something's powders, there's no reason to remove the powders except to put on different ones; if you have enough negative defense that it is a significant problem you should change your build
