Hey guys, I’m working towards beating the game for my first time, and I’m doing it solo. I’m only level 25 right now and I’m using the warrior class and splitting my skill points between strength and defense. So far the game has been moderately easy as the warrior but I’m wondering if I can finish the entire game playing this class, I know that a lot of end game bosses are ranged and I don’t see how I could approach them as the warrior. Tips and advice would also be appreciated.

I’m not sure as I’m an archer main, but I do know that every class can solo everything. Some may have it harder like shaman with the cci in every endgame boss, but it’s still possible

    Would this affect the warrior?

In my opinion, this actually affects the warrior in a good way, because your uppercut doesn't shoot your enemies into the sky when they have CCI, which allows you to have more DPS.

didn’t they add a new feature that allows you to fly With them? So you can keep hitting them?

also I’ve never found uppercut to be that useful, it only does a little more damage than bash, yet it costs a decent amount more of mana…

am I missing something? Does it have a good purpose?

They did, but as far as I'm aware nobody really uses it, at least I don't. Uppercut can do way more damage, probably not such a big difference in the early/mid game, but in my build, the difference is quite big. Also, you can't just spam bash, you have to reset your mana with something, and uppercut is really good to reset with. And normally if you want to keep your DPS up, you have to uppercut-cancel where you bash almost right after the uppercut so that the mob doesn't fly up, however, with CCI you don't have to care about that, as the mob always stays on the ground. - Which is really pleasant as I'm not consistent at uppercut cancelling lol

interesting, I wonder if you can bash midair? Right after you use uppercut.. I’ll have to test that later…

Invest into intelligence, it reduces your spells' costs, which is far more useful than the added dmg strength gives (as of right now at least).

even after the strength change? Your spell damage can be increased by 60% with just 100 strength points plus with the weapon damage increase its hard to believe that intelligence would still be better

Even then til late -> endgame just use intel, being able to use spells without the huge mana cost is really really good

2 spells at 100% damage beats 1 spell at 160%. Also, endgame weapons have all had their damage adjusted, so in reality you get similar damage to what you'd get before the update. My fatal build actually lost around 500-1000 damage per meteor.

This post is more endgame centered, but like others said you can get through most of the game by investing into spell based builds and destroying quest and dungeon bosses that way.

So, what do you mean by "Most of the Game"? Do you mean every quest, or you're also including endgame challenges like Legendary Island? If it's just quests, I'm fairly confident you can solo most of those as a warrior, even the Qira Hive and Tower of Ascension, as a warrior even without mythic items.

Also, are you willing to use other resources like skill potions or other craftable items? Or, willing to possibly switch builds and equipment depending on what you're fighting? Then yeah, I'd say you're fine given that you have a good grip of the game mechanics and strategies. Try looking into builds too and experiment/research with what you feel works like well as you reach the endgame.

Lastly, you can find a number of videos of players soloing challenging bosses like Qira Hive and Legendary Island regardless of what class they are. Some of them are outdated, so maybe try to look at the more recent ones. It's really more on your equipment and build when it comes to endgame, not so much the class you're playing.

So to answer your question, yes, warrior is good for soloing most of the game.
