Scarlet Veil Worth It?

I recently got a fabled helmet, the Scarlet Veil. The item gives me +1000 health, but it completely reduces my elemental defenses from about 30 - 40 to exactly 2. I also get many attack bonuses, but I'm wondering if the lack of defenses is worth it. I am currently doing jungle quests so a lot of the mobs have elemental attacks. Is it worth shredding my defense for some more health?

 

I don't think 30-40 elemental defense really matters much anyways

 

Are you sure? I just did a test. If I used my old helmet, I would take about 40 earth dmg, but without that helmet, I took 100. I only have about 3k health btw.

neat! i was wondering the same thing whit my scarlet veil. i be getting 3.2k now
