Its Not A Bug! Its A Feature!

Now, im not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but if you fall into the void, all reverb on the noteblocks disappears. although this is a minecraft bug, it fits the situation perfectly since the song becomes super funky and almost sounds like its mocking you for falling off the map like the fool you are. if you have VIP+ or higher i would recommend messing around with this on some of the songs(turning off the damage tick sound and using an hpr build of course), as im sure it would make any of the other high reverb songs sound incredibly silly.

 

I noticed the same thing when falling in the void, as well as noteblocks getting a bit quieter for a moment when I tp with mage. Also in replaymod, the music can only be heard near the player. I think what's happening is the noteblock sounds are sent to the player with not only the sound but a location. That location is the player. When you're falling, you move quickly, so by the time the reverb plays, you've already moved away so the reverb is very quiet. You don't have time to fall away from the start of the note, so it stays normal volume.

but this is just a theory and i don't know how if this is actually how mc works
