Journeymap Black Squares

How do I fix these black squares appearing on the map? these are not undiscovered areas

 

when you alter the speed of how fast the terrain around you is mapped it explains that the faster it goes, the more likely it is to make an error.

I recommend lowering the mapping speed a bit and going near those error chunks again

All jokes aside, if there's a way to refresh the map, or even erase it, that might help.

 

I haven't found any solution and if you were talking about resetting the color palette that doesn't fix it either, and its really weird ill go and walk next to one of those black squares and the map will re "explore" the area and delete some of them, or add new ones in places that didn't have those squares before. its an entire enigma to me. I think I will just have to deal with it, voxel map was doing the same thing when I tried it out.

It seems its an issue that the developers are aware of and need to fix, gotta wait for a bugfix ig

Thanks for the offer Lord Saraldar, but even if i get another file they will appear once more as i re-map the areas

Edit: Its because the heightmap data for the world was generated with an older version, and it isnt something i can fix nor can the developer, only way would be the Wynncraft devs clear the heightmap data cache. Rip.
