Can't Rename Crafted Item Anymore?

Hi, so I have VIP+ and am able to rename crafted items in general. Recently, I put a crafted item into the trade market, afterwards realizing that I hadn't renamed it yet. So I took it back out and tried to rename it. But it tells me that only the original creator can rename it. I am the creator of the item, why can't I rename it anymore?

 

I'm fairly certain it has something to do with how the trade market works with items. Presumably because it now is a "different" item since it was made by virtue of being removed from your inventory and created in the trade market. I don't know if that makes sense, but I don't think I can explain it any better than that.

 

I think I understand, it's like it recreates it rather than transfers it through the market. Weird system. Thank you though.

 

Yeah. I'm pretty sure that's why, although if that's not the case I'd be interested to know.
