Wynn PBR is a work in progress resource pack for the ones who are crazy enough to play Wynncraft with Shaders. As the name suggest this pack adds PBR textures (Physically Based Rendering), so called normal maps and specular maps for the base Wynncraft textures. With these textures Shaders can do some neat stuff (if supported) like make gold shiny or add shading to the blocks.

    CONTENTS

The pack is made in the LabPBR Material Standard. It is a format created by the Minecraft shader developer community to achieve a more consistent support across shader. This means most shaders will work with this pack.

I made use of most of the features that this standard provides.
Additionally, I've created 3D models for doors, rails and some of the ores … also for the pumpkin but that one is kind of a joke.

There are also experiments with animated Normals and Specular.

    !Very important!

    Modifications to the base texture:

The official Wynncraft resource pack was not created with these features in mind thus the cartoony art work contains on most of the textures shading and highlights. This can be seen for example on the diamond block. These drawn-in aspects overlap with the graphic effects a shader would do. Therefore, I have made the decision to modify the base textures where I saw this necessary. So, I removed bright highlight spots and darkened areas.

    INSTRUCTIONS

First off all you need Optifine if that wasn't obvious. Without it nothing will work.

Wynn PBR is intended to be a sort like add-on so it won't work without the base Wynncraft pack.

You need the Wynncraft resource pack in your resource pack folder. Here is a guide on how to get it. https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/how-to-install-the-wynncraft-official-texture-pack.255268/

Just place Wynn PBR on top of it in the resource pack selection.

In the Shader Options you need to look for something like Material, Surfaces or Terrain under these sections there should be an option where you select the LabPBR 1.3 standard. Every shader has a different options menu so I can give only vague directions here.

    DISCLAIMERS

I am not a professional texture artist! I only possess a basic understanding of modern rendering tech.

All of the textures have been created with my interpretation of the Wynncraft Textures. This means these are subject to taste and may not represent the original intended look.

This is a work in progress pack. Not every Block, Mob or item has received a normal or specular texture yet. Also, there is quality differences to expected in the textures as my work somewhat improved over time.

Please don't expect regular updates as I'm not that efficient and this is basically a side project.

In the end the Shader does the visual effects. This means things can look different depending on the Shader. And this also means that the Shader has to support the feature, for example not every shader supports subsurface scattering.

    - removed oak_door texture change
    - changed bookshelf Model because it was causing problems with POM
    - added bookshelf specular
    - changed specular on multiple blocks where metal like elements are used so they look more like steel and other metals previously all of it was iron (changed blocks: anvil, oak_door, spruce_door ,jungle_door, oak_trap_door, hopper, iron_ore, candle_pillar)
    - changed chainmail armor specular texture to differentiate it more from iron armor
    - added a base texture for red_nether_bricks (based on vanilla 1.12 and semi 1.14 collors)
    - changed candle_on emissiveness to be more detailed
    - changed oak_trapdoor, Iron_trapdoor POM a bit
    - increased emissevness of lapis_ore, gold_ore, redstone_ore
    - changed hay_side normal (added a x-curve and stronger POM)
    - added normal and specular for grass_path_top
    - new cauldron_water specular and normal
    - added Normal and specular for books
    - reduced smoothness of the wood elements on piston, piston_sticky, cauldron, tnt (was to shiny in most cases)
    - added 3D models, normal and specular texture for all types of rails except Activator rail
    - added specular for minecart
    - added normals for Ice and Packed Ice
    - new normal for snow (Snow and Ice use Optifine CTM feature)
    - added normal and specular for glowstone
    - added emissiveness to sea_lantern, magma, lava, fire

    - added normal and specular for torch
    - added normal and specular for nether_quartz_ore
    - added normal and specular for all types of leaves
    - copied normal and specular from stone to dark_stone (same texture just dark so why not)

I got this to work at a decent fps (25-35) on integrated graphics. Only issue I'm having is text seems to be glitching, but that's not this resource pack's fault.

Only other thing is that items that had their texture changed look really bad in the inventory since the shading isn't applied there. At least on BSL it isn't.
