Why Is My Nickname Not Working?

So, I have made nicknames for my classes, but the thing is, the quest NPCs aren't using the nicknames. I recently changed my actual username, could this be why? I have tried setting the nicknames again, multiple times. They do work in the chat. Do you people know how I would go about fixing it?
I believe this is the right place to put this.

Yeah changing your username is the reason why. I would make a bug report here: https://forums.wynncraft.com/forums/bug-reports.145/ to let the developers know about it.
