How To Level Up Quickly

Hi all,
I spent a grand total of 4 hours getting to level 40 for a... scheme of mine*, and I'm pretty sure that's really slow for someone who wants to get there fast. I had ~40% xp bonus and grinded in the following spots:
Nivla Forest
Ancient Nemract
A couple of quests which were quick and gave me access to something I wanted
Infested Pit
Various places in the Desert/Canyon
Various places in the Nesaak Tundra
I do have VIP+ and so I have access to mob totems, and haven't linked my Discord account yet (but that'll only be relevant for ~1 run).

How should I get to level 40 quickly (with appropriate xp bonus gear)?

*Soooo I'm really poor and lootrunning is boring (at least for me, you do you) and realized that if I beat ToA on my level 103 class and then gave the necessary tokens to level 40 classes, I could get 8 le every time I did this, which is a lot by my standards, so I started doing that. I'm using Ninja (no, not Assassin, Shadow Clone is the tiniest bit better than Vanish (which deserves its own post (which I'm going to go post right after this))) since it seems like it has the best survivability in ToA when absurdly underleveled, but tell me if you think there's a better class for this.

Some other things to add onto the informative post that IronHands added. For xp options are doing the combat miniquests they give a good amount of xp: https://wynncraft.fandom.com/wiki/Quests#Slaying_Posts . There is also secret discoveries that give a good chunk of xp. Here is a list of them (https://wynncraft.fandom.com/wiki/Secret_Discoveries) but note this list has spoilers in it so don't use it if you wish to find the secret discoveries yourself or want to learn about the lore on your own. I can also get on and use my mob totems for you if you want.
