The Dark Descent Glitch

So a while ago I got halfway through the quest and I have the glowing ruby but I can’t give it to Graken and the quest says investigate the strange dark realm. I cannot progress in the quest now and was wondering if I can reset the quest/get help from a mod

 

the quest can't be reset, although it looks like you just missed a quest book trigger - try going back into the house with the wood floor and through all the stuff again to see if your quest book will update (follow the wiki guide if you want to make sure you don't miss anything)

 

This quest is pretty buggy tbh, even my warrior can't complete the quest.

 

Just return to the shack that has the breaking floor, and redo the quest until that point.
What I do normally is not sprinting, as the game cannot keep up with it sometimes.
