Which Weapon Is Better? Ethereal Vs Stave Of The Legends (mage)

I can't tell which one is better, could someone help me.

 

To be honest, it's up to you and your playstyle. I used Ethereal for a long time because it fit how I like to play Mage, but that won't be the same for everyone. If you want to be a bit tankier, generally go for the Stave, if you want higher spell damage and water damage, go for Ethereal.

 

Stave of legends in this case would be overall stronger due to providing +10 to stats except agility and having similar spell damage increase with slightly more mana regen without a decrease in main attack damage dps. It is also easier for your hand to maintain maximum dps with stave of legends over ethreal. So in a total Ethereal would be if you just wanna use comet spam exclusively without too much main attack damage put into it. Stave of legends would be for maximizing your dps overall with more tankiness.

 

Also stave of the legends has rainbow damage so you don't get affected by bosses with elemental defense as much

 

both are good, i would use ethereal

 

ethereal is better in the respect that it doesn't get walled as much by death's and bob's ele defs around that level

 

I'll probably use Ethereal because I love spell spamming

 

they're both spellspam weapons, but yeah it's a good choice

 

I love Ethereal as it's a super spammy weapon with solid damage and high mana regen, and got me through ToA. Additionally, I for the life of me can't do the Temple of the Legends Boss altar. Keep in mind that rainbow damage weapons really don't work against any boss with quint-elemental defense.

 

ok but DID YOU KNOW that stave of the legends is in fact a QUAD WEAPON (VERY COOL)

 

Half correct. It won't get as hurt by mobs with water def, but will lose a metric ton of damage to rainbow def- which is what really matters for bosses at that level and beyond.

 

Pretty sure that's just amadel though, most bosses only have defence in 1 or 2 elements

Yeah but only 3 different elements at a time, still hard but doable
