Is Archer Just Really Strong Or Does It Get Harder As Game Goes On

I started an archer and assassin which is lvl 45 and 60 respectively, but I feel like when I was grinding with assassin it was much harder compared to archer. Like killing things and surviving feels way easier on archer which is why it's less fun for me compared to assassin. I wanted to test this out so I duelled my assasin friend who is lvl 55 and I literally one tapped him as soon as he tried to get close with arrow storm since escape travels so much faster and farther than vanish. I wanted to know if archer is always this strong throughout the game, since it's pretty boring how easy it is to kill stuff from a distance. Whereas assassin multihit is way more satisfying tbh. Also is archer just better than assassin in general? It's pretty much the same or more damage with significantly better range, and escape/arrow storm pretty much stops anything from getting close.

 

Archer and Assassin do around the same amount of damage. Yes, it is easier to shoot things with archer, it's an archer. But Assassin has spells that can combo really well together, and it's generally agreed that playing assassin is more enjoyable.
Also Archer doesn't really have a counter to fast mobs

 

To answer your question, yes, archer is really strong, but no, assassin is just as strong in most situations in most stages of the game.
Generally on the second playthrough you have of Wynn, the game will be easier, and while yes, in pvp specifically, archer can really demolish most classes due to its high damage output, at most stages in the game, the classes are relatively balanced around each other.
Difficulty in wynn is awkward, and usually depends on what you personally seek out to do to challenge yourself, or if you decide to opt for easier things/using the best possible gear.
Wynn isn't really hard at any stage of the game as long as you're prepared, so if you feel unchallenged you can opt to restrict yourself by not using potions or using more offensive-focused armor, or any number of things.
If you prefer assassin however, that's totally cool too, Assassin is a lot of fun. If you feel unchallenged on your archer and want to try harder things, I suggest looking into Boss Altars, which are Wynn's "secret" much more difficult content that rewards very powerful and interesting items, in reward for fighting much harder bosses than normal for the level.

 

Um, if you're saying that the game progression gets harder as you progress, then yes.
Archer is pretty strong, though. It is my main class.

 

The second play through is usually easier than the first
But overall they r pretty evened in dmg later I think (tho I think archer is slightly more overall)
Also could be my morph build but for me at lvl 84 archer does still do massive dmg but literally everything kills me in like 5 hits so I either die or drink oh so many heal pots so it does get harder

 

Running face first into the highest damage spell from the highest damage class in the game may not be a smart move in a duel. Archers may be fast and deal a lot of damage, but they also die really quick. However, it's not like archer spells are less effective at close range, so you still need to watch out
