It is difficult to make a proper non-mythic build for mages that use tierstack, there are, however, some options:

You can also use the same build with Fire and use Courage + Endurance, which theorethically yields a better DPS, but might be more difficult to maintain:

You can also use Burnout, Nether's Scar, etc.

To be fair, I wouldn't recommend mage tierstacking without a Gaia or Singu, I made that build you use to show it's possible at a very mediocre level.

I agree with the Compiler pick, it's probably the best non-mythic option for tstack, I made a few variations in my post just before I saw your post appear.

The fire powders on Heatwave are more for the Courage possibility instead of the DPS it adds :P

 

What would you recommend for tcc/nol?

 

To be fair, any build that reaches the highest attackspeed can deal acceptable damage in TCC, because the buffs are so good.

If you really want to stick to a non-mythic tstack mage, I think Compiler might be one of the best wands for that.

But if I didn't have a Singu and really wanted to "dps" as a mage, I'd go Curse trift in TCC(water) and Courage/Endu (fire) trift in NoL to cover boss weaknesses.
