How do you obtain a horse

 

you get one for free from the level 34 quest stable story
the quest also gives you access to the ternaves horse merchant which you can buy more horses from for 24 emerald blocks each

Some advice regarding horses: NEVER breed horses past black unless you have a LOT of money to throw away. Just get yourself a black horse, and use that until level 60, where you can do the Galleon's Graveyard dungeon to upgrade it from 20/20 to 0/25 (you'll have to train it up again), and honestly a 25/25 black horse is the fastest you really need. Anything more is ridiculously expensive for such a small difference.

 

also black horses r badass. white horses just look plain.

 

Chestnut horses are more badass than both.

 

Donkey looks the worst though, always hated it when it came out like that
