Got Spawn-killed While Afking In Efilium And Lost My Unobtainable Boots

    There aren't any better one execpt the one from Below the Depths I think. Just like how I had been wearing Blasphemy before Cloak of Luminosity.

    My build was: Mask of enlightment, Cloak of Luminosity, Bridge of the divide, Cerid's Ingenunity, Ohonte Kerhite
    Photon, Precious, Iron Bracer(don't say it is a low level trash, it made me able to wield the 100 int 15 def requirement wand at just lv63), and, I forgot about the necklace, it isn't lost anyways

    There are people who laugh and goes toxic at people who lost items due to bug or unintended/unfair situations and ask if they can get it back.
    I don't think I'll get refunded though.

    But I just can't get why they don't make players in spawnpoint towns invincible and give all of them a bank or sth, but only have guards. I like the human melee guards but Golems and Ranged Guards are really trash, Golems just one-shot steal new character's lv1 weak zombie kills and are annoying(xxxx you urelix), Ranged Guards can hurt and even kill you(especially in the pigman village).

    wouldnt solve the problem but it would be a cool feature.

    How many god damn times do we have to say this? how many times do we need to teach you people this lesson?
    it's as simple as just not doing. just don't do it, don't afk in-game

    it's that simple

    There isn’t any ingame notification telling you not to do this(to my knowledge)
    A lot of players aren’t going to read the forums posts saying not to do this before losing all their stuff

    It is only useful in my situation I guess
    But in case if a newbie didn't realize his soul point reached 0 it can remind him



    And honestly how even is it possible to make your soul point that low in normal situations

    yea but you already loose items if you drop below 6 soul points... so that wouldnt really work in your situation

    You really don't understand how that plays out in practice, do you? many of the loaded chunks a player is in, even when in a spawnpoint, tend to have mob spawns, which is some of the more questionable towns like Olux or Efilim tend to be hotbeds for this problem. Not to mention that this is a multiplayer server there are other players who lead mobs into towns (whether accidentally or intentionally) that can go to town on people that are afk.

    You should really go back and see more threads like these and take a shot every time you see someone either mock the player or dismiss this issue with the no-refund policy. I'd think you'd be wasted.

    Also, this is to everyone who says "lol bro just use /class it's not that hard to find out bro," when does the game ever tell anyone this, especially a new player? At least the devs can insert into one of those tip messages that if players want to afk, they should /class and tell the whole server that they can't fix this dumbass flaw for now. Not to mention that /classing to afk completely breaks immersion and invalidates one of the main gameplay functions of towns (you know, to provide safety to the player, which it currently fails miserably at).

    Right now, they cannot make it so you can't die in town, can't take damage in towns, mobs can't spawn in towns, etc. due to a number of things, particularly that it would break a number of areas such as Molten Heights and Thanos, both of which have mobs that spawn within the limits of the town due to them being underground. While AFK protection would be nice and should be added, it is ultimately the player's responsibility to make sure they're in a safe location before going AFK when it doesn't exist.

    You mentioned the word 'ambush' and I take that as the player doesn't have time to react, which is definitely false. They have the time to react to such threat. As such, I don't think it is much of a problem.

    I won't argue over people luring mobs though. Definitely an oversight that needs fixing.

    This thread is mostly people defending it, but instead with the "Well just /class" defense. Now while this is true, and doing /class will protect you, forgetting to do it shouldn't be the difference between playing the game and completely breaking your ability to play.

    I managed to get out with a person giving me a teleport scroll, and I have enough emeralds to get some proper gear.
    But not everyone can get out if no one help them. If none/few of your gear(s) are untradeble they'll be lost and you can't beat the monsters with a lv1 wand.
    And it is really annoying.
