Creepers and Drifting Spirits are both creatures natively found in The Realm of Light. They're two very different things, even having different elemental attributes. Creepers deal earth and water damage and have no elemental weaknesses or defenses. Drifting Spirits deal no elemental damage, are weak to thunder, and have defense against water. They're both natively creatures of the light and even drop the same item: Illuminated Spirit. My point here is that creatures can originate from the same realm and have different elemental attributes.

Alright, that's legitimately a mistake on my part. I removed that section

I did look for evidence that explicitly goes against my theory, but didn't find any. Your argument is that because there isn't explicit evidence leaning in favor of Qira being dernic, she simply can't be. Well, a large part of theorizing is inferencing, because it's not like she's going to spill her entire life story to you just because you beat her one quest, most of the lore you get about her is from Yansur anyway. So yes, there isn't a lot of explicit proof leaning in favor of Qira being dernic, but there's a lot of similarities between her and creatures of darkness. Her area of the world is somewhat similar to the Silent Expanse, which is the most dernic area we have to go off of. Using this, I was able to inference and come up with the theory that Qira is dernic. It's not a perfect theory by any means, and if you don't think it's true then more power to you.

Well, it probably would be good to include an image of a dernic mob with different ele damages/weaknesses/defenses to support your theory.
My original point (before I was explaining to Toaster) was really more of "don't assume then find evidence" and was focused on the "Let's say Qira, is in fact, dernic" part. I mentioned this evidence and lack of evidence against a point stuff because I don't think I got my point across to Toaster after seeing how they paraphrased my comment.

the parasite, one of the mobs in the original post, breaks the earth weakness and thunder dmg/def pattern, dealing fire damage with no other elemental stats.

even just the mobs with the enderman and large spider thing models break the pattern.
