HI, just want to ask how poison works in its entirety.

So i already know that 300/3 is 100 per sec but what i want to know is what happens when you reapply poison before it expires.

Example 1. does hit again before it is done just refresh the max timer? as in if my weapon hits once(using 300/3) every 2 sec, and i hit the mob once then again does it go "hit 100, 100, hit, 100, 100,100 ?

Example 2. instead of refreshing the timer it stacks concurrently? as in if i hit it with the weapon(using 300/3 again) and again weapon hits once every 2 secs, does it then go. 100, 100, hit 200(new stack starts and old stack does it's last tick), 100, 100.

Example 3. does the hit refresh the time AND stack poison consecutively as in if i hit it with the weapon(using 300/3 yet again) and yet again weapon hits once every 2 sec, does it then go. 100, 100, 200(hit with the weapon to refresh timer and ADD the new stack to the total damage of the poison), 200,200.

Sorry if this has been answered but i couldn't find anything about this, i could only find people getting confused about the tick once a sec over 3 secs part.

I'm not extremely knowledgeable but I'm pretty sure that 300/3s means that it does 300 damage every 3 seconds not every second

it does 300 damage over 3 secs, poison "ticks" once a sec so the "tick" does total damage divide by number of secs and thus 300/3 secs means it does 100 a sec for 3 secs.

Ice Bear says for poison hitting just makes the poison ticks continue like normal without skipping a tick ex if you spam hit the timer doesn't reset at each hit but just continues ticking down like usual. Ice Bear says however if another player with poison hits then the poison does not stack and their poison will apply which is very annoying especially if their poison damage is low.

generally just leave it unless you have something here that you want to hide or wish you hadn't said for some reason, yeah so people can see if they search it up in case they have the same/similar question in the future, or if they want to clarify/update something that was said here

if you want, though, i guess you could request for it to be closed by a moderator so no one else can keep posting here, although that's really not necessary
