So, Me and my friend are working on a small game, nothing official, just to test how our work is received by a small audience.

I brought up the idea of using music in our game, but he said it wouldn't be able to carry over long distances, so naturally I brought up Wynncraft and its use of music.

I know Wynncraft is a server and is on java (instead of a bedrock realm) but I'm curious as to whether or not we could do something similar?

Yes, I was more wondering how the note blocks don't come from a specific place, it just plays, I was wondering how so i could try and recreate it for my game.

What they likely do is use the feature where the sounds have a min volume and are played at a super low volume that always is below the min volume. This makes it always at that min volume.

Also is this game in minecraft, or are you guys creating it from scratch?

If you are using a spigot server, then there are plugins out there that can play music from nbs files. Otherwise note block studio has a datapack generator.

The game is just a small test really, its on a bedrock realm where we can show a couple of our friends it and see how they like it

Ok, so that makes it much harder. You are going to need to make either a command block based thing using /playsound, or writing a behavior pack ro something. I have no idea how to do that, but bedrock has some cool features with these that java lacks.
