Master Piece Quest - Alligator Cave

I am currently trying to complete the quest 'Master piece', but when I reach the bottom of the alligator cave, kill the leader, and put the key in the door, nothing happens. I have tried like 4 times now, so I assume it's a bug that's gonna get fixed next update or something, but I just wanted to make sure its not something I'm doing wrong.

 

Dumb question but since its not working for you and I did this literally 20 minutes ago:

How are you attempting to put the key in the door? What exactly happens when you do, like, is the key removed from your inventory, does the door say 1/1, etc.?

 

The key disappears from my inventory when I right click on the door, and the counter remains at 0/1. The door doesn't open or even acknowledge I inserted the key.
