Where Does Lootrun Profit Come From

Hey, im on the hard grind for my first mythic. Aiming to buy one but I obviously wont complain if I get one myself. Im reading that lootruns of corkus and the Sky Islands can give on average 2 LE per run and im just wondering where that money is coming from. Im assuming is the items you get and sell on the TM but none of my items seem to be selling too well. What items are in high demand then?

 

King of Hearts always sells somewhat fast if it has decent stats- be sure to snag any that you see while Lootrunning. Also grab any Powders ranked T3 and above, though I like hoarding them for myself personally.

If you want Emeralds, you can just do what I do and Lootrun in a 5 hour+ old server in a desolate area. The shiny green rocks will start pouring in!

You can’t get 2LE in one lootrun from items. You need to get a really good item for it to sell for a lot. You can get 2LE from emeralds though, if you make multiple (like, 5 maybe) trips back to the bank. But mainly you’re after a mythic though. You’ll usually get one before you can make enough for a mythic off of emeralds/other items.

 

If thats the case, what would be a better way for me to grind then? Im after a specific mythic (Fanta) so im wondering if theres a better way?

 

Lootrunning would still be the best. Whatever mythic you eventually get from lootrunning, you can sell, and then buy a Fantasia. Fantasia is the cheapest Shaman mythic luckily so a decent amount of mythics you could get should sell for enough to buy a Fanta. Plus, if you’re lootrunning on your Shaman, you’ll have a better chance at a Shaman mythic. Unidentified weapons are biased towards your class, approximately a 40% chance for a weapon of your class and a 60% for any other class’s weapon. So maybe you’ll get a Fantasia yourself, but if not, all the other Shaman mythics will definitely make you enough to buy a Fantasia.

Also, get some loot quality if you haven’t already. Charm of the Stone’s bonus affects loot quality (if you don’t know that comes from TCC, and you can only get one per class) and then get some loot quality accessories.

If you really don’t want to lootrun hoping for a mythic though, Seavale Reef can make a lot of money. I usually get an LE every half hour there.

 

I just take every normal item I can, scrap them, and sell the scrap.

Why does it not make sense? I think it makes perfect sense to have a better chance at weapons that can be useful to you. It’s not been confirmed by any admins, but based on testing people know it exists. Try it yourself, do a lootrun. And count how many of each weapon type you get.
