Assassin/Ninja Would It Be Worth It To Go For Heavy Melee?

I like the sound of it and the idea that you can hit an insane amount of damage in a single hit sounds pretty interesting to me. I don't like fast attack speeds so is heavy melee worth it and if yes what should i know about it? Afaik its basically Vanish - Hit - Vanish - Hit

 

There is currently a bug with assassin that seriously hurts heavy melee dps. I'm not the biggest expert on it, but someone else might be able to clarify if hm assassin is worth trying right now

 

Heavy melee assassin is super fun. If there is a big I haven’t noticed it while playing. Currently I run an ETFA build dual wielding the exploited and anvil crawler.

Practically unkillable because of greed (make sure to smoke bomb to cancel burnout). crafted ring can be something else if you want

 

I am not 100% on the mechanics, just know it lowers dps. Also iirc people were told not to share the bug if it is potentially exploitable.

its not potentially exploitable but never got confirmation about it so.

uh you'll find the bug on your own sooner or later when playing As (especially heavy melee assassin) but basically it nukes heavy melee dps by nearly 50% (40%? 45%? idk math something)

or alternatively you can play around the bug but that requires you to basically never vanish (??!!?) and I haven't been able to pull the skills out of my ass to successfully play heavy melee assassin while unvanished so. idk

You can always just get some cheap gear and try it out (heavy melee sets are kinda inexpensive due to 2 of them being shop items and the others having basically 1-2 important rolls, u can always get inferior items for a few EB just to try things out regardless)

its plenty powerful and tanky but. idk I think it gets very boring very fast

theres also a chance they'll fix the bug soonTM (has been reported multiple times? and iirc this didn't exist at some point in the past but I could be wrong)

 

I was so confused as to why my heavy melee assassin felt so weak recently xD
