SPOILER Cerid Is Alive Confirmed?

So this is interesting...

Today, I was walking around Llevigar when I accidentally interacted with a random NPC. I guess this dialogue only shows after you finish the new Heart of Llevigar.



This Llevigar citizen states that they are glad the Heart of Llevigar was fixed but shocked that Cerid wasn't the one who fixed it.

I always assumed that Cerid was dead, maybe after being killed by his own creation. But I guess not?

Also, you could say that this NPC was saying a random electromagician's name because that's the only one they know of, but that's like saying ''I'm glad my PC got fixed, I'm just shocked that it wasn't Elon Musk who fixed it..''

So here's my assumption:

Cerid exiled himself from Corkus after Antikythera went haywire, either that or he was exiled by the people. He now goes between Wynn and Gavel fixing broken electromagical machines (Notice how in Dwarves and Doguns part 1 and Dwelling walls, some Corkians are known as scammers because their machines are incredibly faulty, probably on purpose. They know electromagic is in demand, so they just make broken and terrible machines to make easy money.) and is like everyone's local repair guy now. He'll get around to fixing the moving house in Nemract eventually...

Since he's alive, we'll probably meet him at some point. Post-quest stuff after TFF2 hints at another Corkus questline with Maxie and Ava in the future, so maybe he'll be there?

 

Wasn't Cerid the one to make the Heart? In that case it would make sense if the cititen wondered why it was not him...

 

Alternatively, Cerid is dead, but the citizen doesn't know that.

 

Pretty sure that's not stated anywhere but I could be wrong

 

The heart is centuries old, so probably not:

• Zenam: The system was so perfect, no one has had to touch it in centuries, until now

 

Not specifically the new one, this has been in-game at least since 1.19, maybe longer.

More likely ''Inventor's Ingenuity part 1 and 2'' or something like that

Otherwise The Feathers Fly should be renamed to ''The Envoy part 3 and 4''

 

I guess I am wrong then

 

Can well appreciate the Ava and Maxie world event arhat you get to see after doing TFF1&2? You’ll just be walking around corkus and see them flying around

 

It's not a world event because it can be triggered multiple times, but yeah it's neat

 

As far as I can tell its been around since 1.17, and quite possibly since the Corkus Update
