Grain, In Latin, Is Frumentum

Ok ok ok, its a stretch... But its just too much of a coincidence to be left unnoticed.

(In case it needs to be explained: Grian is one of the three owners of Wynncraft. And his nickname is Grain due to the common misspelling of his name. The second part is the Player comes from Fruma, which will (hopefully) be added in an update.)

 

Grian's had his name LONG before Fruma was probably conceived, there's a slight chance this could've led to the province's name but it just seems unlikely. Apparently, Fruma means "cell" in icelandic which kinda seems like a more fitting origin for the name, given what we've seen in Recover the Past.

 

Fairly certain it's just meant to be beginning in Old English, I'm pretty sure the other province names (besides Corkus) are all from Old English as well

on the other hand, since bovism is the dominante relegion in Wynn and Gavel, what if Breadism is dominant in Fruma? What if they worship Grian rather than Salted?

Not only that, but ''Fruman'' rhymes with ''Human''

Fruma is the land of the Humans, so if this was its origin then it, too, would make sense.

I imagine the ''Cell'' and ''Beginning'' thing are both true, Fruman/Human rhyme is a coincidence/possible origin, and the grain thing is too much of a stretch to be true.

Maybe, but his channel name in the url is Xelqua - implying that he used to be known as that.
Yes, they're probably not linked but it's worth noting that he main not have always been known as Grian

 

Fruma, in Old English, means origin. Gavel means greed, Dern means dark, Wynn is the letter W.

 

I did also find this for Wynn, not sure if this is actually what it's named after but it seems more likely to me than "W-craft"

 

Wynncraft was called Project W while in early development. The letter Wynn means joy, but I don’t think that's really related. Source is the Gavel Streams from ages ago.

 

You spelt it Grain, not Grian.
