rule of thumb is *usually* you want 5 or 6 mana regen on 1/1 cost (natural is like 4 or 5 mana regen so totalling like 9-11 mana regen?)
so on 2/2 cost you would want like 12/4 or more, probably more like 16/4

EDITED from discussion: Ranging from 12/4 to 16/4, probably closer to 12/4.

so yeah getting 1/2 cost is justified, 1/1 cost probably not with 10/4 mana regen,,

 

You almost never need 16/4 costs with 2/2

Panic zealot's spell costs only go up if you have an ambivalence on, ambivalence isn't EWA.

If this is not what you meant by "Pealot", "EWA" or "Heavy Spell" then let me know.
