Can anyone tell me where the place from the description is?

Seems like the start of a secret discovery. Found it at the grind spot near Nesaak.

Bob's Lost soul still requires the depressing class items for its quest (as per the wiki). The wiki and google mentions nothing about this effervescent dagger

 

the wiki is not always up to date.

 

The wiki may be out of date currently for that quest as it was updated in 1.20.

can someone just tell me what "the capital of the dark stone pillar" is?
also: i am rn doing bobs lost sould and i still need the depressing weapons

 

Keep doing the quest until it acually asks for it. Itll usually give you a hint/location on where to find the place is

 

that is my 4th playthrough :D

edit: i still dont know what the capital with the black pillar is

 

I meant that because the black pillar is most likely a new feature (cus 1.20.1) you wont know where to find it until the quest book actually tells you

tbf the quest didnt reset for everyone, hence there's a lot less people doing it and the change is only around 2 weeks old

capital of the pillar is on top of the darkest pillar near where you found the dagger

you need to do a parkour

i went through the quest a few days ago and got some screenshots of dialogue (not all of them though)

First encounter with Wedyf:


Markque the wizard in the depressing wand area

(Note: Markque the wizard is not a major NPC and is not needed to progress the quest)

I didn't get any more screenshots of the quest but I can describe how to get the depressing weapons

The dagger is at that old grind spot near the Ice Canyon, if you grab the dagger mentioned in this thread and parkour up the pillars you get a depressing shears

The wand is inside a frozen house at 19/~/-898. You have to do a teleportation puzzle to do it

The bow is at the lumber yard used in Underice, you just have to kill the miniboss in the middle of the lumber yard and you get a depressing bow

The spear is in a cave at 155/71/-939, you just have to kill a few waves of Lynx and you'll get it.

You can still grind for the depressing weapons in the wolf cave near IB for some reason

In hindsight, I should've taken more screenshots of the dialogue.

I'd also like to note that you no longer need to open Bob's tomb.

 

The quest should be updated now on the wiki.

 

I think the dagger may be for a secret discovery they maybe redid.

 

The dagger is used in the new Bob's lost soul quest (to get the depressing shear), as others have already said earlier
