I've thought about this idea before, it would be amazing! I would love to voice an NPC but unfortunately I don't have a microphone, all I have is my laptop's build in mic. I am Australian and my accent sounds almost like an English accent.

I would help you with modding if it was done on the latest version with Fabric, but in your case it would be convenient to develop under 1.12.2 using WynnUtils. And as a voice actor, if any character should have a Russian accent, then I'm in)

What is Wynncraft VP?
Wynncraft Voice Project is an upcoming mod which goal is to add voices to quest npcs.

Why?
I have lost count of how many people said that they don't want to play Wynncraft because they have to read so much text and to be real, I can't really blame them. If you do all the quests it is almost like you have read a whole book. With a mod like this, all these (lazy) people would no longer have to read the text and it would be a good chance that they played wynncraft, which means more players!

Another reason why a mod like this would be great is for dyslexic people that have a hard time reading text. If all the stories would be read out it would allow them to play Wynncraft much easier!

Lastly, in my opinion, it would also be amazing for us normal Wynncraft players to have so that even if you want to do a quest again you can still take part of the dialogue without reading what the npcs say for the third time. So if you want to experience the story again you can do so easily

How?
Voices
The plan is to get as many different voices as possible so that we don't need to have many duplicate voices. All these people will be required to have a quite good microphone and we will try to get them by shouts, this forum post, and community posts from YouTubers. We might also hire some voice actors for some of the characters that have many dialogues. First, we want to finish the code, if you are interested in voicing a character keep an eye on this post. I Will update it once we are looking for voice actors.

Coding
Right now the only people on the Wynn VP mod team are me (Youtuber, Plugin dev) and Techtician(Studies AI programming). As you might have noticed, neither of us has any modding experience and for this, we are looking for someone/multiple people to help code the mod that have some experience in this area. If you have any interest in this and you have some modding experience then start a private message with me on the forums.

Could definitely be helpful! There are so many quests and voices that it would be amazing with another person besides me that can edit sound! What kind of experience do you have if you don't mind me asking? :)
