I don't remember if XP charms go up to this high level so forgive me if I'm wrong.

 

Cath XP thread part 2, I completely agree with it, the current rates are incredibly overpowered and the features contributing to it, charms, guild xp bonus, frozen fort itself, should be nerfed.

 

the xp seeking territory upgrade is sort of a homage to the old passive gain with a small new twist added to it. Maxed out xp seeking can give a daily 400m in the new system that's quite a lot. Glad that they added it in eventually even if is quite a jump from what you could passively gain in 1.19

 

No one here is specifically targetting AVO. We are specifically targetting overpowered so benefits that AVO just so happens to be abusing. We proposed a solution and that does not involve punishing AVO specifically. "But they wont make as much xp anymore" okay no one will make that much. Church was nerfed bulb was nerfed. This isnt an attack or a target. This isn't to invalidate AVO or their grinders. Its a thread to make awareness of mass amounts of xp being able to be gained in a way that it shouldn't.

Orphion charm only works up to lvl 100 mobs which is probably the biggest slap in the face in all of this.

The jump i refer too is what it took to gain 400m passive xp in 1.19 which would be comparable to maybe 100m in the new system nowadays.

 

While the changes to XP requirements were unnecessary imo however I don't think looking at it like it 'invalidates years of leveling' is the good way to look at it. Wynncraft will naturally get more effective ways of leveling as it progresses as a game. Yes years of leveling WILL be invalidated and it will be easier to get to a level it was harder to before, but that's just how a game like Wynncraft has to grow. Unless there is an 'objective' standard for guild leveling set in stone now or later, this will happen and you'll have to get used to it.

 

They made leveling entirely based on wynncraft’s own activity prior. Now territories produce set amounts of xp, which is arguably how it should have always been, that would have provided consistency, but there has still been a shift that levels are more grind based especially with how much better it is now

 

holy shit essentuan, im in tears, i couldnt have said better, YES! I'm immensly respectful towards the OGs for holding the map on'n'off for HALF A DECADE. Those are some thicc ass achievements, and are in no way invalidated by virtual squares or virtual funny numbers. Some guilds adapted, they worked hard, maybe not as hard as you did in 2016, but they also did it in a vastly different time, don't blame them for that.

 

It is pretty clear the insane XP this gives looking at guild XP leaderboard, AVO has gotten almost 20 billion while the next guild, The Mage Legacy, has gotten 1/100th of that, at 200mil in a day. The best you can get from territories is 400mil per hour. This isn't power creep or XP creep it's just an insanely broken feature. I'm watching mobs at frozen fort give almost 3 million XP, while they usually only give 50k.

 

the problem is not more efficient ways to level, the issue there is the scale of how much it invalidated years of work, what invalidated it wasnt the requirements, its not basing the new level jumps based off of total xp but by the overflow of the level they had prior to the update this essentially deleted years worth of grinding while making it easy to get to the points theyve been dumped on now with broken exp grinds. tldr: its similar to if you completed a game got to a very level after years of work but then they reduce the level up reqs whilst levelling people lower than you by a lot whilst you yourself didnt level due to your xp overflow be so low. Or in other words the Fox experience

imagine if they added prof levels up to 150 then some lvl 123 prof guy had 99% overflow so levelled up to 140
but your over flow exp at just hitting 132 didnt give you jack shit then they added gathering xp gear and territory xp not only deleting your hard earned progress but force you to stay behind because yes :)

Everyone's talking about this XP problem but nobody is complaining about the REAL issue, the elephant in the room:

why do health tomes suck ass now, they were fine before

 

Because the way tomes have been implemented is fundamentally bad and the only way to make tomes remotely balanced is to make them do almost nothing.
